Energy audits aided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment

The starting point for efficiency enhancement measures is data on the current situation and the identification of economically profitable enhancement targets. The first step in increasing the efficiency of energy use is an energy audit.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment aids the performance of audits in the service, industrial and energy sectors. Motiva’s tasks include the monitoring of, promotion and development of the energy audits aided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in cooperation with industry experts, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the companies commissioning the audits and energy auditors.

Motiva maintains an energy audit monitoring system, which includes information on all energy audits, and controls the quality of the energy audit reports. To promote the activity, Motiva publishes examples of successful audits. Motiva also trains energy auditors and provides advice to the companies that order audits and the auditors.
