GreenEnergyCases introduces the latest applications and visiting places in the field of renewable energy and gives lots of information on the Finnish energy know-how.

The Finnish energy production is well-known for its creative and intelligent solutions, which help to reduce emissions, to increase the use of domestic renewable energy sources as well as to streamline production processes. Finland is a pioneer especially in bioenergy and its applications.

Visits to the sites must always be settled beforehand with the mentioned contact persons.

Savo Consortium for Education (SAKKY), in cooperation with Savonia University of Applied Sciences, implemented Energy laboratory in Siilijärvi, Toivala, in 2012. It is a new learning environment for developing technology and sphere of renewable energy resources.

Energy laboratory

Energy laboratory in learning environment combines laboratorial action and workshop style practice.
Energy laboratory provides a possibility to study following areas:


  • Heat pump technique and it's different forms
  • Solar power systems
  • Solar heat systems
  • Ventilation systems
  • Hybrid systems and their installation, wiring, use, adjustment, maintenance and optimization
At Energy laboratory it is possible to organize education using measuring and information technology used in production and use of energy, measuring energy consumption, wiring, adjusting and maintaining hybrid solutions.

At Energy laboratory education is provided on both basic and additional degree levels from spring 2013 onward. Education is open for everyone.
