Energy Advice for Consumers
Energy Advice for Consumers offers free-of-charge advice on issues related to residential energy consumption and savings. Consumers can contact either the national advice service Asiaa energiasta (about energy) or the regional energy advisors.
Each region is assigned its own energy advisor who assists housing companies and households in energy matters, regardless of their type of housing.
The operations are funded by the Energy Authority.
You can get answers to your questions about energy on topics such as:
selection, replacement and energy-efficient heating of the heating system
commissioning and utilisation of renewable energy
residential electricity consumption and energy-efficient use of appliances
sustainable purchases and energy saving
advice on solutions and support possibilities for improving energy efficiency and giving up oil heating
electric car charging points
Advice is always offered through guidance and the mapping of options. Energy advisors do not provide recommendations on equipment or system suppliers or carry out planning or dimensioning work.

National advisory service Asiaa energiasta
Asiaa energiasta is a national energy advisory service for consumers, providing information and practical tips on how to save energy, protect the environment and reduce climate impact in daily life at home. The service is provided by Motiva Oy and is free of charge for households and housing companies.

Call the energy advisor. The phone service is open on Mondays and Fridays from 9 to 12, tel. 0961225150. The call costs the same as a regular call.
Regional energy advisors
Regional energy advisors provide unbiased and free-of-charge information on ways to improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy near you. The target group for the advisory service comprises consumers, housing companies, municipalities and SMEs.

Motiva and regional energy advisors organise webinars and information events on various topics that are open to everyone. They also participate in the events of their partners. At the events, the experts talk about current topics, such as solar electricity, energy renovations, maintenance work for a detached house, energy communities and ways to improve heating. The webinars are held in Finnish.

Information on energy saving and prevention of electricity shortages is available online in many languages on the following websites:
- The Save energy website, maintained by the City of Helsinki, is available in the following languages: Finnish, Swedish, Arabic, English, Spanish, Chinese, Farsi, French, Turkish, Russian, and Estonian

Motiva Oy carries out a follow-up survey by email approximately every six months for consumers who have received advice, regarding the benefits and effectiveness of the energy advisory service. For this purpose, the energy advisers ask for permission to save your email address. Participation is voluntary.
